The history

Smokey Joes Café was a diner in Philadelphia. It had an exciting entertainment concept that started in the USA in the 1950s. The café was a diner frequented by recording executives and talent scouts, where up and coming hopefuls were always keen to take to the stage and give an impromptu performance to be ‘discovered’.
